Owatonna, a Jewel on the Prairie
Each summer residents of Owatonna dedicate some time to celebrate our community and all of the treasures that surround us. This celebration has grown throughout the years to include things like Crazy Days Sidewalk Sales, kiddie parades and concerts in the park. These events have become treasures themselves and we now celebrate all of them as Owatonna GEM DAYS.
Join the celebration!
We’ll celebrate our historic buildings and our beautiful parks and trails. We’ll celebrate our history, our legends and our entrepreneurial spirit. We’ll celebrate our art & music and our attractions & entertainment. We’ll celebrate our businesses, our services and our schools. And above all, we’ll celebrate our citizens who are GEMS, one and all!

Line up at Parking Lot #2 (west side of Eagles building) at 9:30 to be ready for the parade which starts at 10:00! The route will go from Owatonna Eagles, west to Cedar and then south to the park.

This fun contest has grown every year and this year will be the best ever! Be ready at Central Park by 10:30 as the contest will start as soon as the parade is finished!
